Alexandra Palace, London
JHA supported the writing of the successful Round 1 HLF application and the backing documents
Alexandra Palace in London consists of set of huge Victorian exhibition halls in north London and the aim was to turn derelict spaces into a 1,000-seater theatre and a museum about television, as Ally Pally is the birthplace of broadcast TV.
Julia worked in a large team on architects, conservation architects, exhibition designers, theatre specialists, mechanical and electrical designers to co-ordinate the Round 1 NLHF application. The project involved attending regular project meetings, producing a project plan, issuing task lists to the client and consultants, guiding the output of the consultants to conform to NLHF requirements, guiding the client on other documents needed to ensure success and co-writing the HLF application and ensuring that the delivery timetable was met.
Alexandra Palace received the development funding towards their £16.8m bid in 2013.
